Farm 2 Food foundation is building aspirations and skills among young people towards farm and food entrepreneurship for a prosperous and peaceful Northeast. Foundation (F2F) works to enhance the incomes of individuals engaged in the agricultural value chain, thereby fostering a productive, self-reliant society where communities take full ownership of their development journey. By placing schools and communities at the center of its efforts, F2F empowers youth, students, and women to become active catalysts and agents of change.
F2F positions local communities as co-creators and facilitators of transformation. Its initiatives span four key program areas designed to nurture leadership, resilience, and sustainable livelihoods.
Key Initiatives and Projects
- Learning Farmers; Young people are engaged through activity based leadership programs. Through hands-on exposure and networking opportunities their agencies are developed towards youth leadership on food systems transformation.

Through activities such as creating raised soil beds and observing plant growth, students gain practical knowledge in geometry, botany, and entomology. The harvested produce contributes to midday meals, while by-products such as vermi-compost, vermi-wash, and bio-pesticides are sold, instilling entrepreneurial skills at an early age. This program was adopted by the Assam Government and later by Government of India to roll out in 1.2 million schools across the country.
